The Star Gift – El regalo de una estrella
This weekend I received a lovely surprise in the mail. My friend Alison had sent me a purple, stained glass star that she made herself. I was touched beyond words. Allison is a friend that I met through this blog, and hers. We have never met in person, but I am sure that we will have a blast when we finally do get together.
Este fin de semana recibí una sorpresa bella por correo. Mi amiga Alison me había mandado una estrella de vidrio morado que ella había creado. Me conmovió muchísimo que había pensado en mí. Alison es una amiga que conocí por este blog y el suyo. Nunca nos hemos conocido aparte del mundo virtual, pero estoy segura de que nos llevaremos bien una vez que nos reunamos por fin.
At first, I hung the star full-length from the cord that she attached. It was hidden behind the plant.
Al principio colgué la estrella de la cuerda que ella incluyó. No se veía por la planta que estaba enfrente.
So, I doubled the cord. I need to find a better solution to hang it, but this works for now. The number one priority was to get it up where the cats could not play with it.
Así que doblé la cuerda. Necesito encontrar una solución mejor, pero esto funciona por ahora. Lo más importante fue colgarla donde los gatos no podían alcanzarla.

Having blogger friends is awesome. The purple star is perfect for my living room, and it was imperative that I get it up as soon as possible so that the cats would not destroy it.
