Beginning to Bloom
Things are finally starting to bloom in the yard. Spring has sprung.
I have spent hours in the yard since the weather warmed up last week.
The most important task is to clear the leaves out of the garden beds.
I have made progress, but there is still more to do.
My mother also gave me some flowers while we were visiting for Easter.
The pansies and violas do not look so great because the deer munched on them while they were on her back porch.
I also dug up some snowdrops from the woods behind her house. They do not look so great because they spent a couple of days in my trunk.
The snowdrops do not look much better in the yard right now, but they are going to look amazing next spring. I spread them all around.
There are lots of flowers that are looking good, however, and over the next couple weeks there are going to be more every day.
Happy Homemaking!
Your garden is looking lovely. I think it is a very clever idea to use mirrors as there reflection makes your garden look even bigger. X
Eventually I want to make a mosaic along the foundation, which is why I have been collecting the mirrors and other materials, but that won’t happen for a little while.
A mirror mosaic sounds amazing!
These early spring blossoms are so pretty. And you’re doing a great job getting everything cleaned up. Jo @ Let’s Face the Music
It is back spraining work if not back breaking, but I love it.
You must be so happy to see blooms after the winter you’ve endured! We should have a nice weekend, so I’ve got to get out there and clean up gardens! The weeds have taken over already. Back-breaking is right!
You cannot even believe how happy I am. Thank goodness for spring!!! And good luck for you with the weeds.
I love snowdrops, but they don’t seem to like my garden!
That is too sad. Do other bulbs do well for you?
I am so envious of your big yard and flower beds!
It is all relative. Our yard is small compared to some people’s but we have filled it to the brim with food producing plants.
