Cat Basket
Warning! This post contains adorable cat pictures. Maybe I am biased, but these cats are cute!
Last week I shared my Halloween thrift shop finds with you. What I did not tell you is that I also found this basket. It only cost $8, but the top was obviously missing, so I debated whether or not to buy it for a while. I set it out when I got home so that I could take a picture of it, but before I could get the camera, there was already a cat inside of it and a kitten looking longingly at it. I think it meets approval.
As soon as Crème got out, Ponche jumped right in. Then, Crème got jealous and wanted back in.
After a couple of hours of cat fighting over the basket, I got the idea to put the basket beneath the bench, where it would not be so obvious that it was missing the top. It was an even bigger hit under there. Ponche tried every which way to get Crème to let him in with her.
I would say that those were eight dollars well spent. What do you think?
Happy Homemaking!
Perfect.. keep those picture coming. Am going to be a”catooist” in Novemeber when we get back to Maui! Can’t wait to help out the feral cat population on the Island.
Can’t wait to hear all of your stories about tattooing cats. Not everyone can say that they know a “cattoo artist”.
i want that basket! such a non obvious cat piece. hope they share!

They seem to be sharing so far. Of course, most of the time they ignore the basket, but as soon as one gets in the other suddenly wants that basket more than anything else in the world.
Well, I think you should get an other one to make your cats even happier! But maybe they’ll still fight over the same one.
It is guaranteed that they will still want to be in the same basket. The same thing happens when I put out a cardboard box.
They are just too cute!!! I’m so glad they are getting to be close friends. That’s the purrfect cat basket!
I am glad that I decided to buy the basket-top or no top.
I love love love all these pictures! Especially the one with “momma” Crème licking baby Ponche 🙂 What a great basket!
They are so darn cute!
The basket is so perfect for the cats. Does it need bedding? Your little kitten is growing. Jo @ Let’s Face the Music
Douglas put a towel in the basket for them, but they were sleeping in it just as it was. They are not picky!
Penny and Martha have basket envy!
Creme and Ponche say that their cousins are welcome to come visit any time and use their basket.
