As I told you on Tuesday, last weekend we finished planting the garden. Well, we hope to have finished; some of the plants are not doing too well, so we might have to replace them. But anyhow, we were talking about the work we did last weekend. I started by pulling out the garden plan and my seed basket. I went to look for a writing utensil, and when I returned there was a cat doing yoga in the basket. She started out in lotus position – padmāsana.
Next she practiced bharadvajasana I.
Después se puso en bharadvajasana I.
I believe this is her version of anantāsana.
Tittibhasana seemed to take a lot of concentration.
I am not sure what this one is, but she was really into that pose for a while. I never knew that she was so into yoga, but as a cat of course she practices marjaryasana all the time.
Ponche was very jealous that Crème was hogging the basket, so as soon as she finished savasana, he jumped in there. Is he trying to do cat/cow?
He was not nearly as graceful as Crème. I don’t think that he gets the hang of yoga yet. Here he is attempting adho mukha svanasana otherwise known as downward facing dog.
Once kitten yoga had finished up, I could finally get out to the yard. The heat was brutal, but we got it done. I planted a few more seeds in the bed that I planted several weeks ago. It does not look much different than it did.
The second bed now has a lot of squash, zucchini, and peppers, as well as a few potatoes.
The third bed has peas, beans, more potatoes and squash.
Happy Homemaking!
¡Que todos sus sueños caseras se cumplan!
P.S. Crème would like me to add that if anyone is interested in learning cat yoga, she is available for private lessons. Give her a call and let her know that you are a regular Cape of Dreams reader, and she will give you a substantial discount.
I can see that Crème was really relaxed after yoga. I am developing a serious crush on Ponche.
We (Eric) finally got our garden planted, but we were too late to get purple potatoes this year. 🙁 Procrastinators!
Creme could work on spreading her toes in tittibhasana. I loved her variation of Urdhva Namaskarasana (upward salutations) though. We can work on her toes next time I visit. I will give her private class but no discount.
Creme is so hurt that you are going to charge her the full rate. She says you are no longer her favorite aunt.
Well forget the yoga (although, very impressed with crème and ponche). But your garden is quite impressive. Keep us posted o the harvest. Next year you might wan to raise it up some…or give it some thought. Many benefits. Sending Love…Always
Thank you. Every year it gets a little bigger. We usually get a decent yield, but I would love for you to come up and help us!
The yoga has relaxed me so much I’m falling asleep. Looks like good things to come in the garden. Jo @ Let’s Face the Music
I wish that yoga would relax the cats. They typically follow up their yoga sessions with a round of chase or a wrestling match. I hope to have good results in the garden this year, but it hasn’t started out that well. How is your garden doing this year compared to last?
love the cat yoga pics! especially the first one LOL! your garden looks great – i hope you get a lot of yummy produce!
Creme and Ponche want to know if Birdie, Darwin and Bonkers practice yoga as well. They recommend that they do! I hope we get yummy produce as well.
I can’t believe I missed all these comments. Bummer!!! Birdie definitely is a great practicioner of cat yoga, but the boys not so much. they really should start. So should Jim and I!
The three of us, meaning the cats and I, are big proponents of yoga. Douglas goes when I ask him to and he is available, but those two things do not concur frequently.
