Curb Sale Lamps
If you have followed the Cape of Dreams for a while, you know we love our curb sale finds. What is more fun than finding things for free? Our favorites have been the chaise lounge and the pitcher, but we have many objects around the house that came out of the trash.
Recently, Douglas came home with these lamps.
Do you find them attractive or hideous? I know that they are not everyone’s style, but then again nothing is. I am oddly drawn to them. Douglas likes them as well, and Crème seems to find them intriguing.
Whoever threw them away cut off the cords, so we will have to rewire them, but that should not be hard. There is also some other damage, but I will clean them up and probably repaint them.
I really like the details.
For now they are sitting in the living room, but I am not sure where their final resting place will be.
Happy Homemaking!
they are lovely I love them, very unique
Thanks, Kathy! I hope you are surviving the snow.
I think the are cool. great find!
Thanks, Susan! Douglas has a good eye.
AWESOME! They look heavy, no? Not gonna find these at the local Target! I like ’em! Wire those babies up and enjoy. Besides, if Creme likes them… you have to keep them!
They are not as heavy as you might think, but they are definitely not from Target! I cannot wait to get them wired up.
What a cool find! I need to cruise your neighborhood more often!
Stay out of my hood Tanya, and I’ll stay out of yours. 😉 Just kidding. You should come visit sometime.
Very Art Deco! I think they’re very cool, and they go really well with your velvet furniture, especially that curvy chaise. Awesome find!!
Art Deco is my very most favorite style; I would live in a miniature Chrysler Building if I could. That could be what I like about these so much.
I am of course in love with your beautiful yoga lady lamps!
Yoga! I’ll give you one if you come visit!!!!
Lovely! You must find the perfect spot for these 2 beauties. Jo @ Let’s Face the Music
I am currently debating the perfect spot. My mom thinks that they should go in the bedroom since I have my collection of paintings of women in there.
