Down the Drain
Sometimes the little things are the ones that make the greatest difference. Several years ago before I started this blog and began to document our home renovations, I bought a new faucet for the bathroom. It came with a new plug for the sink. Because the old one looked like this, I was ready for it to be replaced.
Douglas was kind enough to change the faucet for me, but he left the old plug. The worst part was that he disconnected it so that it could not be easily stopped. No matter what I did, water always drained slowly out. For two years I kept asking him to fix it, but he never found the time. In all fairness, I could have done it myself, but that never happened either.
Then, a couple of weeks ago, I came home from somewhere, and it was done. You might think that I would not notice such a little thing, but I saw it immediately.
Crème made sure that everything was done satisfactorily in my absence.
Now you can stop the sink to keep the water from draining. Here is Crème to demonstrate.
Thank you, Douglas.
Happy Homemaking!
You are so lucky Creme was here or everything could have gone wrong!
Oh! Douglas complains, but he really loves her.
Yeah, I’m so lucky Creme was there to help and make sure the project took twice as long to complete. Damn inspectors..
