Easy DIY Christmas Wreath
It seems like just yesterday that I made a wreath for fall. Well, to be honest, I did not make it – I just stuck some corn cobs on one that I already had and called it a day.
Now we are already in the Christmas season, and it was time to take down the corn and put up something for the holiday. My faithful Ponche helped a lot. If you are wondering what the heck he is doing in the second picture – he is playing with a piece of the wire that I used to attached the cobs.
This time I used some welting that I purchased to make some pillows. I never made the pillows, so I figured that I should put it to use.
Soon, Crème came by to lend a paw or four.
It only took a couple of minutes before we were done. I knotted the welting at the back.
The wreath looks good on the door.
It is hard to believe the weather we have had lately. I never thought that I would see Douglas mowing the lawn in December.
I put the corn out as a gift for the birds and squirrels. They were very polite while the corn was hanging on the front door and stayed away from it. It is only right to let them have it now. I added an apple as an extra treat.
Happy Christmas!
Crème and Ponche did a great job on the wreath! Actually, I bet they could wind up that welting without your help. Craft kitties!
They were dying to do something with the wilting, but that wasn’t to wind it!
That’s a versatile wreathe. It looks wonderful on the red door. Jo @ Let’s Face the Music
I am sure that there will be many more reiterations before that wreath retires.
The wreath looks great on the door, colour coordinated and all. I should also mow because December has been so warm, the grass is very high, but it’s Brittany, so it’s a little humid and I’m afraid to make a massacre of the grass and soil if I mow!
Happy holiday season to you!
It has been warm here as well. We went for a walk on the beach Christmas day and did not even wear coats! It is getting a little colder now.
You did a wonderful job on the wreath on the front door. Your front door looks so inviting. About the mowing…the weather has been so warm, the grass keeps growing! I’m out there mowing too. Crazy! Happy Christmas. Best wishes for the coming year! Koko❀
Happy New Year, Koko! Thank you for your lovely comment. I like my home to be as inviting as possible.
I love it. Beautiful and simple, not over the top! But most of all I love the progressive photos of the cats closing in on you once again! They are such gorgeous, curious little souls. Merry Christmas Jess!
Happy New Year, Jenny! I love those little critters. They sure do make my projects more difficult, but I would not have it any other way.
I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to you as well!
