Hammock Time
Is there anything more relaxing than a hammock in the summer?
In 2007, I bought a hammock in Venezuela. Since then, I have lived in six different houses and the hammock just keeps moving with me but has never gone up.
Last summer, I found a hammock stand at BJs that was a reasonable price. I do not recall exactly how much it cost, but it was under a hundred dollars. This hammock standis similar, but I think the one I got was cheaper. Doing another search I found this awesome Wooden Curved Arc Hammock Stand that even comes with the hammock. I wish that I had seen this before I bought mine!
Back to my story, I never did not hang up the hammock last summer even though I had the stand. We took apart the unused stand in the fall and stored it in the shed.
Finally, last weekend, we pulled it out, and I hung up my hammock!
Kahlua and I tested it out.
Kahlua was not a big fan, but maybe she will learn to relax.
Happy Homemaking!
You guys look comfy! (Well, at least YOU do.) I have never tried a hammock!
You definitely need to try a hammock. In Venezuela they sleep in them, in the areas where it is very hot. It is much cooler than a bed. You just have to remember to sleep across the width and not the length or you wake up with a sore back.
LOL! When I first read the title of your post I thought it was called “Hammer time”! Good on ya for hanging a hammock just in time for summer! It’ll be a sweet relaxing spot I’m sure!
I was totally singing “Hammer Time” all day after writing this post. Did you know that Eddie Murphy sang that song? I had no idea until my husband told me on Tuesday!
I was thinking of the MC Hammer song – there’s an Eddie Murphy song too? Too funny!
I did not say Eddie Murphy sang “Hammer Time”, I said he sang “Party All the Time”…
and it was in reference to your most recent post “Party all the time”…
I am going to have to stop referencing songs in the titles of my posts. I am so confused!!!!
