Hanging Plant Hooks
I am thankful that I have such an amazing husband. He does so much for me. This past month, even though he thinks that I have too many plants in the house, he spent a lot of time putting up hooks for my greens. Before that they had hung from the curtain rods, but they were pulling the anchors out of the walls.
Measure twice and drill once, so they say.
Douglas came up with a clever way to drill without making a mess. He put his drill bit through a cardboard box. All of the dust was contained in the box.
The first hooks went in the dining room. Now we need to fix the curtain rods.
He also put a couple in the bathroom. On one side I hung a plant, and in the opposite corner I hung a bunch of eucalyptus. I love the smell and the look.
The final hook was in the living room.
Since I took these pictures, he hung the remaining hooks in the living room and bedrooms. I just have not had time to hang any more plants. I am trying to come up with a more attractive way to hang them. Any ideas?
Happy Homemaking!
Clever idea, using the shoebox! Sounds like an opportunity to go salvage-hunting for attractive hanging containers. You can always drill holes and attach your own ropes or chains.
I am trying to think of a good way to hang them now. I do have nicer pots. Happy Thanksgiving to both of you!
Really like the plant in the shower. I think I might have to copy that one. Jo @ Lets’ Face the Music
My goal is a plant in every room, and since the bathroom is small, that is the best place for it. I like having it there, and it is easy to remember to water!
love the drilling-through-a-box idea! you can never have too many plants!
That’s what I say! Unfortunately, Douglas has other ideas, but the plants keep on coming despite him.
I like your idea to hang the plants everywhere in the house.
Can you tell I love plants?
