In Need of Christmas Spirit
My plan was to use this post to unveil the 2014 Cape of Dreams’ Christmas tree. Unfortunately, the muse had not spoken to me, and I am having a hard time writing this post. I just am not feeling the Christmas spirit.
In the meantime, I will share a couple of picture of our decorations in hopes that it will put me back in the mood for Christmas.
Maybe I should go listen to Christmas music. Is everyone else feeling Christmas yet? Of course, if you don’t celebrate it, you won’t. Are those of you who celebrate Hanukkah ready?
It seems that Crème is ready at least. She is happy to have her Christmas friends back.
Happy Homemaking and Happy Holidays!
I’m really feeling Christmas this year although I haven’t begun to decorate (I do have a color scheme though) not have I zeroed in on gifts. Being a church choir director I begin listening to Christmas music in August, set the music in October, write the program in November and by now I’m really excited to carry the message. I love Christmas music. You are lucky to have such a close relationship with it.
I want to get the tree up for our little dinner party this weekend, so even if I don’t feel it, I want to make it LOOK like I do! I think it will help to have a few decorations up, but it’s a lot of work! Mainly I am looking forward to a to-week break from work–woo-hoo!!
It can be a lot of work, but it looks so pretty once it is all done. My theory is that it is better to get the decorations up as soon as possible, so that they can be enjoyed for a while. Otherwise it is a lot of work for a short time. Have a wonderful party on Saturday!
Some Christmas music could help, as well as some cold weather maybe! I have had Diana Krall’s Christmas album playing in my car since yesterday!
You are right about the cold. It snowed today, and I was so excited! I love Christmas music as well.
