Junk Drawer Organization
The Junk Drawer. Everyone has one. I have several. Some of mine are messier than others, and this one was particularly bad. It was getting difficult to open.
The first step was to take the drawer out. I let it sit on the floor for a while to scare it into behaving.
Then everything had to come out. As I removed each item, I tried to put it in a pile with like articles.
This manila envelope contains letter writing supplies. All of the pens, pencils, tape, scissors etc. went into the take-out containers. Yay for free organizational bins!
All of these papers are destined for the trash. One stack went directly into the recycling bin and the other was shredded first. We shred everything that contains personal information.
This stack of art supplies went into the drawer below which was surprisingly empty.
At this point Crème came along to help me.
Or maybe she just wanted to pose for the camera.
Enough of the cute cat pictures, we have to finish our work.
These papers were taken to the filing cabinet.
Lots of things needed to find new homes. I am not sure why these were in the drawer.
A few things needed to be thrown away.
One last stack went back in the drawer.
Ahhhhhh! I feel so much better now. It will not stay like this forever, but I promise not to let it get as bad as it was before… at least not for a couple of weeks.
Happy Homemaking!
I was so happy to hear that YOU had a junk drawer! I would have never imagined that.
Oh, I don’t know if you ever watched “Friends”, but my secrets would put Monica to shame!
