New House Tour with Slideshow
Last week after I published the latest house tour, I needed to update the house tour page. I decided that I should change it up some. Thus, I learned how to make a slideshow and then created nine of them. By that I mean that I handed the computer to Douglas every five minutes so that he could figure out why I was not able to do what I wanted to do. This post would not have been possible without him.
What follows is what will be the new house tour page.
Welcome to the Cape of Dreams. I bought this house in January of 2010. Here is the layout of the first floor of the house where I now live with Douglas, Kahlua, and Crème.
In 2012, Douglas and I got married, and I started this blog. Over the years we have made a lot of changes to the house. I only wish that I had taken more pictures in 2010 and 2011, but at least I have full documentation from 2012 on. Here are the changes over the years.

If you would like to see the full house tours from each year, you can check them out here: 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. You can also read about the rental apartment on the second floor of the house.
I hope that you have enjoyed your visit. We love guests – Come again!
Happy Homemaking!
So much transformation, you’ve done a tremendous job!
It really is amazing how much has changed. I often forget how much we have accomplished when I think about how much we still have left to do. These slide shows help me remember.
It is fun to look back on all the changes.
This is amazing!!! I love it! Your slideshows are genius! Great job, Jessica!
Thanks! It was harder than I thought to make the slideshows, but it was worth it in the end.
Totally amazing. You should be so proud of your lovely home. Very clever post, thank Douglas from me x
Thank you. We are proud and Douglas appreciates your comment.
The slideshows are such a great idea! Wish I had enough photos over the years so I could copy-cat you … but I don’t!
Isn’t it a shame that we did not think to take pictures before starting a blog. I mean. I have some but not nearly enough. I would love to show what the house looked like before Douglas moved in. It was vastly different.
Wow! Great transformation — everything’s getting better and better. Loved watching the slideshows over and over. Jo @ Let’s Face the Music
It’s nice to hear that others enjoyed them as well. I really love watching them.
Wow!! What an amazing transformation into a beautiful, well loved home. A lot of hard (obviously) has work paid off.
Thank you, dear!
