House Tour (Part III) – Tour de la casa (Episodio III)
This is our bonus space. There is not much to show because it is not a very big area, but it a big selling point when we bought our house. There is a walk-up attic that the former owners finished. At the top of the stairs is a TV room. Our basement is a very unfinished storage area, with a low ceiling that would make it hard to make livable. Therefore, we are extremely happy to have a nice place to watch TV, without having the television in the main living space of the house.
This is the TV room looking the other direction. That doorway leads to another bedroom. I am dreaming of a swinging bookshelf that would disguise the entry. It will most likely never happen, but a girl can dream, no?
Here is the bedroom. I love the light fixture in here, but there is not much else at the moment. We are currently trying to figure out how to get a queen-sized bed up here. It is a bonus to be able to offer a space for a couple more people to sleep. We sometimes have a houseful.
So, that is the third floor. Come back next week to see the backyard.
That is a lot of house! Congratulations.
Your boys are bound to have a wonderful childhood there, so many places to explore and play in.
We bought an eco friendly, natural rubber, king-sized mattress that came in slices (not unlike cheese) in 3 separate boxes, that we assembled and zippered up into a cover. The slices were bendy so manuverable around corners and such. The name of the company is plushbeds.
How nice to have that bonus space, especially with kids! Tuft & Needle makes a great mattress that’s compressed into a box that will fit up your stairs.
what a great bonus space!!! love it. can’t wait to see the yard. Our foam King mattress came rolled up tight inside a thick plastic bag. heavy, but easy to get up stairs and around corners.
